The Broken Angel

Loving you is my greatest weakness,
What I cling for is your affection and embrace,
What I long for is your compassion and care,
These are the things I hold close to my heart.

Why is love so dangerous,
Why do we care about it when it doesn't care about us,
Why do we worship the ground it walks on when we stumble and fall.

Everytime I think about the love that we share my soul burns of sweet passion,
But the flame has died and so has your compassion for this undying love,
We are too angels that have taken separate paths that have lead us to destruction.

I hold your hand in mine feeling the coldness of your touch,
Wishing that these moments could bring us back to life,
Thinking of what I could do or say to stop the bleeding from rushing out of my soul,
But it's too late the blood has killed me and your angel has died of the destruction that we have caused.

Black and Blue

Black and blue
Faded pictures of you
Dying inside
These things that I can’t hide
Leave me to rot
As I’m completely distraught
I have fought
But I can’t
Hold

It
In
Anymore
Leave me alone
Kill the dial-tone
I can’t pick up the phone
911
I hope you’re having some fun
For I can’t run
And you can’t find me anyways
Leave me to hide
On the inside

Cuz I’m left here
It’s finally crystal clear
That you
Don’t Care
For me
Let me bleed
My heart’s a mess
You definitely failed this test
You’re outta here

I Am Sorry!

How do I make you know?
How do I make you understand?
My possessiveness for you
Is what a mother has for her child!

You charged me guilty of not giving you space
You labeled my LOVE with OBSESSION!
You said that I do not love you, but I just want you
You named my LOVE a CAGE!

Didn't I give reasons for my words...
Why, how and when?..
Didn't I try to show you the hazy consequences?
Were my reasons shallow and did they miss the depth of truth?

You say that I always took you wrong
You say that I am always right!
Dear, it's not a battle with you,
My attempt is to show you the right way.

Yes I confess that I made a huge blunder
A blunder which I knew would hurt you bad!
But was the blunder so big
That it couldn't be forgiven?

You took just one moment of the day
To shatter everything!
Everything which required four long years to grow to this big.
That one moment weighted heavier than those four years!

Now I have been abandoned and deserted,
Left all alone in the midst of nothingness.
There is nothing else which I wish and seek for
Except for your forgiveness!
I am sorry...

Blind Love

Her soul empty
Without embrace
Everything's a blur
Without the sight of his face

Tears come natural
The pain unbearable
The story was great
Its not unsharable

The days blur by
Nothing is the same
Without him around
She is ashamed

Her body now corrupted
Her soul unclean
She let herself go
To her life's worst fiend

Now that hes gone
Hes no longer around
She has no sight
She hopes to be found.

My Love

Our eyes met,
On that October day.
Your ocean green eyes sparkled.
I was in shock.

Then,
I saw something that broke my heart.
Then,
You kissed her.

My heart was in two,
I was in true denile.
I went into a state,
Of absolute depression.

I never did anything,
I went in my room.
Immediately.
And I slept.

I honestly,
Hated you.
For breaking me.
Now I've changed.

I'll never forget,
The way you looked at me.
The way you still look at me,
That's what I don't understand.

I still hate you,
For killing my soul.
But I love you,
For revealing who I was meant to be.

But now,
I want revenge.
And,
I'll get it.

If you're reading this,
Mason, remember,
I'm everywhere,
And nowhere.

Revenge is what I seek,
Revenge is what I need.
To ease the pain,
That's brewing inside me.

Remember,
My love,
Her love,
I'm everywhere, and nowhere.

How to Make Friends and Keep Them

Everyone has people they come in contact with throughout the day, and most of those people are merely acquaintances. Even if you interact with a person repeatedly for months or even years, they still may remain only an acquaintance. And then one day, seemingly overnight, that acquaintance may become a friend. Friendship does not develop overnight; it occurs gradually, usually through talking, listening, caring, sharing, accepting, and encouraging. Friendship - true friendship - is not easy, and takes time and effort to build and nurture. But making friends and keeping them is one of the most magnificent treasures life has to offer.

Building a friendship works the same way for people of all ages. The first step is to open yourself to the idea of being able to share your thoughts and feelings with another person. Self-disclosure and openness are key to establishing a relationship with someone that may turn into a friendship. It may be intimidating to consider opening yourself up to another person, but why let the risk of potential rejection keep you from the possibility of enriching your life? If you share something of yourself with another person and they are not receptive or do not share in return, you need not consider that a rejection. They may have their own reasons for not reciprocating, or they may just need more time to warm up to the idea of being friends.

One of the most important keys to building a solid friendship with another person is to listen to them - really listen - and acknowledge what they are saying. When someone tells you something that happened to them, or is upset or complains about a situation, they are often just seeking acknowledgment from someone that they hear them. They are usually not looking for agreement; they just want to be heard. So when someone needs to talk, and you want to strengthen your friendship, you need to listen. Repeat what they say, if appropriate, but don’t try to change their mind or solve their problem, and above all, let them know that you hear them and acknowledge their point of view.

Paying attention to your friends is vital to maintaining and keeping your relationships healthy and strong. Attending to someone means that you are totally focused on a person - your eyes, your ears, your body language, and your feelings are all intensely focused on that person. You are not only there physically; you are there emotionally as well. Looking at a person while they are interacting with you reassures them that you are there for them, and what they have to say is important. Attending and listening to your friends keeps your friendships strong.

One of the most important components of being a friend is being able to talk and reveal your thoughts and feelings. When a friend opens a conversation with you, they are usually expecting you to share information in return. If a conversation is one-sided, the person doing all the talking may feel as though the other person is not interested in what they have to say. If you find yourself always playing the role of the listener in conversations, then you may actually be acting as a counselor or confidante, rather than a true friend. In unhealthy friendships, the person doing all the talking may come across as lecturing, being bossy, or being demanding. The person doing all the listening may appear to be a counselor or worse, a doormat. When talking with your friends, be sure that the conversation is a two-way street. Good, equal communication is an important foundation of friendship.

The fastest way to end a friendship is simply to neglect it. Friends are rare jewels of life, and you must keep them intact by keeping in touch, spending time together, being loyal, being a good listener, never betraying trust, and respecting other points of view. Support and encourage your friends, and praise them for accomplishments and rewards. Offer a shoulder when they need it; cry with them when they are sad, and laugh with them when they are happy. Remember that old adage, "To have a friend, you need only be a friend?" It may sound trite, but it’s true. Just think about what qualities and attributes you would like to find in a friend, and then focus on nurturing those qualities in yourself. You’ll be glad you did.

Closest Friends’ Importance

Before going deeper into this subject, it is important to realize how crucial the role of the closest people in our life is. Can you think of 3 closest people to you? Those are the ones that influence you most and you will undoubtedly find their character traits in your own behavior. It is important to have real friends - the kind of friends that do not envy you but celebrate your success and believe in you 100% - I’d rather have one or two good friends than thousands of the other kind.

Even the most important and most influential man who lived on this Earth, namely Jesus Christ, had His own close circle of friends where he had only three people. Although Jesus Christ had 12 apostles, He repeatedly performed certain actions in the presence of only three people. For example, do you remember how He raised up from the death the daughter of Jairus? The girl had just died before Jesus’ arrival there: "When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child's father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep." They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!" Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up." Luke 8: 51-55

Another time Jesus takes His closest circle of friends up on the mountain: "After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus." Mathew 17:1-3

Why didn’t Jesus take the other apostles too? Why only three again? I am sure all would have been edified by such an experience!

If you think about it, there are really few people in this world that can truly bring out the best in you, that believe in you without continuously questioning you and your actions (I am referring of course at good deeds that reflect Christ).

I have experience with this kind of friends that believe in you like 90%, and not 100%. What happened was that we had this concert abroad and after checking the best way to deal with expenses of transportation and lodging, she started asking me all these questions a day or two before departure and she started calculating everything just to see if I used the best option. She realized afterward it was really the best choice I made, but…I had the chance to see her real face so to speak, and even if I believed she was all for me, I saw that there are certain limits to that relationship. I learnt my lesson and realized who the ones who really believe in me are (obviously they might be other people and not necessarily the ones you’ve expected).

I felt dragged down by this attitude my friend had but now I know whom I can have in my closest circle of friends. Of course she is a good person and all that but as far as the relationship goes, I know where the limits are.

In choosing your closest friends pay attention to the way they speak. Someone’s maturity level and also the character of that person can be seen in how he/she talks.

Does your friend talk pessimistic and always seeing the empty side of the glass? Do they curse after every word? Do they easily lie for no apparent reason? (not that being insincere for any reason would be acceptable, no, it is not, but there are people who just lie like that with no reason at all). Do they gossip all the time?

Pray and ask God to give you discernment to choose close friends carefully, and most importantly, keep in mind that even the closest might eventually betray you in hard times - as they did to Jesus- but never, never forget that Jesus Christ knows the pain of this kind of rejection and He is Always there to be your best friend, a real friend in time of joy or sorrow.

If you need to make some changes regarding friends, don’t wait, make them today (wisely of course)! It will surely save you from years of suffering!
