E-marketing books

E-marketing books Biography

Before we delve into the marketing and selling side of your e-book, I’d like to answer a few questions that I had and if you don’t have them yet, you more than likely will once you decide to start marketing your own e-book. And these are vital questions, essential for any e-book creator.
For example, how do I get my e-book professionally edited and proofread at a reasonable price? How do I get an e-book cover made? And how do I convert my e-book into a PDF so almost anyone in the world can open it?
After searching for what seemed to be months, I found what I was looking for and now offer them to you in a matter of nano seconds.
Who can I get to edit and proofread my material?
First recommendation – don’t let your word processing program do it! Not that it doesn’t help, but there is more to a polished manuscript than one that has only been spell-checked. On my first e-book I talked my wife into editing it for me. No problem there—she did a fine job. The problem arose when she had other things consuming the time in her life, so I began looking elsewhere when I wrote my other materials. I was thrilled to find Jean Robor through an auction on eBay. Since then Jean has edited and proofread all of my e-books, articles and press releases, and this piece you are reading now. She is fantastic.

How do I create an E-book cover?
Before I met the individual I am going to refer to you, I bought one of those e-books that show you how to make your own e-book cover. I wasn’t happy. It took me too much time to figure out how to move the copy around, resize, center, align, etc. so I promised myself I wouldn’t waste MY VALUABLE TIME doing something that wasn’t my area of expertise. Believe me, there’s nothing more time and money saving than having a professional do what they are good at as opposed to you—or I—investing hours to do something once.

Tom has not only created my e-book covers for me, but also the banners that I place on sites to advertise my products. Great, great, great!
How do I convert my document so almost everyone can open it?
The point I am trying to get to is you need to have your Microsoft Word or Macintosh document converted to a pdf so anyone—whether or not they have a PC or a Mac computer—can open it and read it. After all, you want to make it as accessible to your customer as possible.
In order for the recipient to open your e-book you’ll need it converted into a .pdf document. A .pdf document is readable by anyone that has Adobe Reader installed on his or her computer. Adobe Reader is FREE and most people already have it installed on their computer at work or home. If you don’t have it installed you can download it at http://www.adobe.com
